Dr. Bertrand conducted a double blind, placebo controlled, study to test the effectiveness of QR CREAM™ in relieving nerve pain. The probability that QR CREAM™ with mannitol had the same effect as the cream base (placebo) was less than 1/1000.
The study showed that mannitol, QR CREAM™’s active ingredient, was highly effective in blocking the pain signal sent by nerves to the brain by capsaicin (hot pepper juice). A second study tested QR CREAM™ on 20 patients who were suffering from pain after shingles and found that QR CREAM provided pain relief for 16 of these patients.
